Dear Highlands Elementary Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! We hope this letter finds you and your family well and that you enjoyed a restful and joyful summer break. Whether you are returning to our school or joining us for the first time, we are excited to welcome you and your child to a new year of learning, growth, and discovery. As a new staff member myself, I am so excited to be part of the Highlands community. Our staff has been working hard over the summer to prepare for the year ahead. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. This year, we will focus on academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and building strong connections between school and home.

Attendance is critical for students to succeed academically and feel part of their school community. If your student is struggling to attend school we will partner with you to support them so they a have successful school experience.

We encourage you to stay involved through school events, classroom activities, and regular communication with your child’s teacher.
